This is an excellent winder that provides incredible value for money and is worth the purchase. The winder can work on either mains power or an internal recharchable battery that lasts for days on end once fully wound, which was important to me. Winder operation is quiet and it has a lovely glass display which protects the watch from dust, etc. Unlike some other winders, the watch is wound in a vertical and not horizontal position, but I have noticed no discernable effect on the operation of the watches. There are four buttons on display which permit you to determine the direction of the winding, (clockwise, anti-clockwise, or bi-directional,) putting the winder on and off, pausing and also the maximum number of winds (300, 600, 900 and continuous). The winder also comes with two different watch holders to accomodate large or smaller pieces, so it should be no trouble to find the right fit for the watch in question, and it should be solidly held in place while winding.
