If you are looking for a watch with a lot of features this really isn't the watch for you. I liked it from the first time I tried it on. It was comfortable and simple to use. The thing I like about it the most is its easy read face, the comfort of the watch on my wrist, and the fact that it is solar powered! This is definitly a watch for people who just don't want to replace batteries all the time and a watch that basically just tells time. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Timex Men's T5J641 Ironman Solar Power SHOCK Resin Strap Watch (Watch) I've had this watch for a little over 2 years, but the "Indiglo" feature just died. So, now I can't tell what time it is in the dark. I've had other Ironman watches w/ Indiglo, which lasted for 6 years (until the battery died). I figured since this watch was rechargeable, that I'd never have to change the battery and risk a leaky watch. I never figured that the Indiglo would die. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful: By Barry James (Gateway to Cape Cod) - See all my reviews This review is from: Timex Men's T5J641 Ironman Solar Power SHOCK Resin Strap Watch (Watch) The old adage holds true: You get what you pay for. This Timex Ironman Solar/Shock watch, purchased through Amazon, came out of its original Timex factory box with a $100.00 price tag attached. Now, you won't pay that much for it at Amazon, but even if you did, you wouldn't be short changed. This watch is really a crafted, precision piece, and in both a visual and tactile sense it's a pleasure to wear and use. I've own any number of Timex's and Casios, and this one wins hands down and going away!
I won't go into the watch's features as they're well described by Amazon except to note that the watch can be set in either the 12/24 hour format. Two other points are worth mentioning. First, don't be put off by the 44 cm size of the watch, on the wrist it actually appears little different than a regular (40 cm) men's Timex. This is because (even though in the photo it doesn't appear that way) the pushers are built into the body of the watch, and don't extend well out...Read more |
