Keep your sports training focused with the stylish Timex T5E261 Ironman Triathlon multi-function, performance sport digital watch, which features a silver resin top ring and top pusher for easy access to split and lap times. Sport timing features include a 100-hour chronograph with lap or split option, 100-lap memory recall, 199 lap counter, on-the-fly recall of lap or split, and interval timers settable up to 24 hours (9 timers with countdown/stop and countdown/repeat). The training log stores workouts by date, with best lap, average lap, and total segment time, and the total run format/synchro timer maintains total activity time (less time paused during workout and overall running time. Other features include two time zones, built-in setting reminders, water resistance to 100 meters, and a black fast-wrap strap.

It incorporates the Timex Flix system, which activates the Indiglo night-light with a simple flick of your wrist. To activate FLIX, put the watch into Night-Mode by pressing and holding the Indiglo night-light button 3 seconds until it beeps. With the watch in Night-Mode, a forward "flick" of the wrist with a sharp "stop" will activate the Indiglo night-light for three seconds.

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

5.0 out of 5 stars Replacement Watch - A difficult Decision...., January 15, 2007

I needed to replace another Timex Ironman 100 lap watch I had purchased a few years back (the rubber frame that holds the strap broke). Really liked this watch because of the large readout, ease of use, lap calculation. I'm a Marathoner and novice Triathlete, so a good, simple, versatile watch is an important piece of equipment for me. After looking for over a month, I decided to purchase the Timex Triathlon 100 Lap Flix System Watch, and I'm glad I did. Great readout, easy button control (start and split are much more pronounced - great improvement) and a very sturdy velcro strap makes this a winner for me. I've already used the timer function with alarm for my swim and bike intervals, and of course the chrono function with splits is easy to read and use. This is a great watch!

4.0 out of 5 stars Gimme a break!, July 17, 2008

Okay.... heres my take. Whah whah whah...the band is no good...the band is hard to put on...GIMME A BREAK! Hitting a hundred mile an hour fast ball is HARD...fastening this band, as long as you have 5 working fingers, is not as difficult as some reviewers would have you believe.

The watch is fine....it works well, has an easy to read display, has easy to use functions. I dont run triathalons...Im a fat guy...so the timer functions are less important to me...but the big numbers make it easy to see as Im reaching for another doughnut and its great for timing how many chocolate chip cookies I can eat in 30 seconds. In all seriousness...this watch is cheap, functional and decent looking. Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because I find it to be just a touch cheap looking but for the money you cant beat it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice watch, but the strap???, January 3, 2007

Like another reviewer said, the strap on this watch leads much to be desired. It is sewn to the watch, so presumably if the strap goes, the watch goes. And since I purchased it to use when I work out/excercise, I wonder how the cloth/velcro will react to sweat over time.

Regarding the watch itself, I'm very pleased. The time is displayed VERY LARGE which is kind of comical...but it does the job.

EDIT: After about a month of use, the paint is starting to chip/scrape off around the face. And the watch has seen no abuse at all.
