Timex Men's T49744 Analog-Digital Resin Strap Expedition Rubber Strap Watch

This watch is an excellent deal. At thirty-five dollars it's inexpensive for a watch, but I've had sixty-dollar ones that were far inferior.
It's comfortable, lightweight, durable, ideal for sports and hiking.
After reading many criticisms of this watch and the similar all-black version, I want to set the record straight. It does not slip around on your wrist, as claimed, unless of course you're wearing it too loose. The ticking noise of the second hand is a little loud, but it is only noticeable in almost total silence. Someone claimed that the glass surface was a little raised and not very scratch-resistant. On mine it appears to be totally flush with the surface, and so far I've had no problems with scratches, though I've hiked and played several different sports wearing it.
The watch is very good-looking and I would recommend it.

I don't normally wear any jewelry, including a watch. But sometimes you find yourself in a situation where a rough estimate of the time (which I'm pretty good at) isn't good enough any more.

The band is flexible and soft (when I must wear a watch: metal bands annoy me). The resin band allows you wear it comfortably loose, and still remain in place on your wrist. There is a notch in the band retainer loop that mates to a raised portion at the end of the band, so the band retainer won't slide.

The analog face is large and easy to discern even if you need reading glasses.

The second digital time zone, alarm and stopwatch functions are fairly intuitive (and the instructions are clear).

The Indiglo lighting is nice and bright in dim light.

But for less than $40...you really can't go wrong in selecting this as a basic watch (that's also easily expendable if you're working in demanding location).

Nice watch. Simple design. A bit light weight because the case is made of plastic. Wish it was made of metal and added plastic/rubber for durability. But it's a great price.
