Product Review

This Timex men's diver's watch will look equally good whether you are above or below water. It features a bold unidirectional rotating coin edge bezel that is functional and stylish. The clean black dial has luminous understated geometric shapes for indexes. The hands are also luminous for quick visibility under the sea. There is a date window at three o'clock. The silver-tone stainless steel bracelet matches the case, and the watch features the accuracy of a quartz movement. It has the Indiglo night light and a mineral crystal, and is water resistant to 165 feet (50 meters). It is covered by the manufacturer's 1-year warranty.

I would like to say first that Jomashop exceeded my expectations with the processing and shipping of this order. I will most definitely order from them again.
About the watch. I love the sleek classic look. If you hold it up next to a Rolex Submariner, it is nearly identical. I have a friend who has this exact watch (only in Rolex) and he's a little miffed that I paid less than $40 for a very very simlar looking watch.
I don't mind not having a $5000 watch on my arm if my substitute feels and looks just as substantial. I would have given this watch 5 stars, but the band occasionally pulls my arm hair. I may look into replacing the band, but it's a minor inconvenience.
I highly recommend this if you don't want to pay thousands for a submariner or hundreds for other look alikes. I have always liked and gotten great things from Timex!

I like this watch. It looks like a Rolex Submariner. I think it is made in the USA because it has no label indicating it is made elsewhere. It is quartz so it is extremely accurate. It is easy to set. It is substantial, heavy stainless. It has Indiglo so you can read it when you wake up in the middle of the night. You press the crown and it lights up! I have loved indiglos for years. I used them for a flashlight sometimes. You can use the bezel which ratchets in one direction to time things. The finish on this watch is very nice. It has a glass crystal. Its true that there is no magnifier over the date. I adjusted the band using a thumbtack and a pair of needlenose. I watched a video on youtube to remove four links and it fits perfectly on my thin wrist. I bought it for 36 dollars and that is nearly thirty dollars off. I got it from Jomashop. I love this watch!

2.0 out of 5 stars Worked fine for 5 months, July 9, 2007

I'm extremely tough on watches. The 2 watches I owned immediately prior to purchasing this one were an automatic Seiko that I wore every day for 2 years before a pin in the watch band broke and it fell onto a concrete drive way and shattered and then a Casio ecodrive watch which I also wore for about 2 years and I finally retired when the watchband on it broke. I loved the Seiko automatic, but the Casio ecodrive scratched far too easily (both the band and the crystal) and by the time the band on it broke it looked like someone had drug it behind a car.

I bought this Timex because I liked the way it looked, the price was right (I paid $50), and Timex has a reputation for being dependable.

The good: The look is clearly based on a Rolex Submariner which is one of my favorite looking watches and I'll never be able to afford a real Rolex. This Timex still looks almost as good as it did when it was new after 5 months of constant wear- it's a lot more scratch resistant...Read more
