This is my first Tag Aquaracer, and I decided to go with the recently introduced 500 Meter version because of its unique look that really stands apart in the crowded Submariner watch field. This watch departs from the all-too-common Submariner homage in several ways, with its molded rubber screw-down bezel and date window at 9 o'clock instead of 3 o'clock.

This watch is big and heavy but just oozes testosterone! My wrists are about 7.25 inches, so it doesn't look too big on me, although it is the biggest watch I have owned so the large diameter takes some getting used to. The diameter is 43 mm; the height about 12 mm, which is about 1 mm thinner than the automatic version, I think. The watch seems to wear smaller than its large size would suggest, however, and it doesn't feel heavy on the wrist.

Just simply a Fantastic Watch in Feel, Look and Functionality. As a first time buyer to high-end watches, I decided to get a 'TAG' basically because I truly liked the look of this watch and how sold it is (has a good solid weight to it), the reputation of the 'TAG' name, and how I can wear it for casual, dress or even sport (this watch was specifically made for Scuba divers, as I understand it). The only problem is, here I am paying over $1000 for a watch (of which my wife thought I was crazy), and I just recently bought it, and the watch already shows, in my opinion, notable/ugly scraches, and I only wear it to my desk job. I just can't understand how such an expensive piece of jewelery shows more scratches than the Citizen watches I used to own over a number of years. I purchased this watch from Amazon. I am very satisfied with this watch. Brand new in the original packaging. The watch looks great and can be casual or dressy. It's very accurate and you can barely hear the second hand even holding close to the ear. The watch feels substantial. Automatic movement is not that important to me.
