Swiss Legend Men's 60024-03-ABR01B The X1 Collection Chronograph Watch

Background: I got this on a whim when Amazon had them as a Gold Box offering.

I have several watches, and this is probably my favorite. Of critical importance, the watch itself keeps good time, and it's easy to read (at 43mm it OUGHT to be easy to read!). The "deployment band" is extremely convenient - it looks like a conventional buckle strap, but opens like a non-expanding metal bracelet band. I've been very pleasantly surprised by this watch, and have put "Swiss Legend" on my shopping list for personal and gift purposes. I'm compelled to give it 4 stars rather than a full 5 just because the "chronograph" function feels a little awkward.

Be aware - this is a very large, heavy watch. I'm a fairly big guy, and can get away with it -- a much more lightly-built friend called it a wrist weight and joked about getting two to wear at the gym. A useful side effect is that the watch is actually a conversation-starter.

I have the brown version and just ordered the blue. While this is not a top quality watch, it does contain a Swiss movement and is excellent value for the money (I paid much more for my brown version). The example I have owned for the last couple of months is the most comfortable to wear of any of my watches. This is a BIG, clunky, chunky, heavy watch. The only fault I have is with the face. On close inspection it looks a bit cheesy... It is obviously plastic, especially the angled "frame" at the outside edges of the face on which the white numbers have been tampo printed. On the face, the "chrome" rings around the small dials appear to be nothing more than plated risings on the plastic face, not separate components. The watch is easy to read though. None of the paperwork that came with my brown watch tells where it was assembled... just because the movement is Swiss does not mean the watch is Swiss. is more than I expected, I liked a lot. the contrast of the belt the same color of the board, makes it look very sophisticated.
