When the product first arrived it operated as advertised. It was quiet and worked great. After a few weeks, it started to make a squeaking sound. When I first heard it I thought a mouse or squirrel had gotten into the house and finally tracked the sound down to the watch rotator. Come to find out that the gears that rotate the watch are all made of plastic, a low grade plastic at that. So I don't expect it to even last much longer. It already hangs up for a bit and then rotates, then hangs up, then rotates, so that will eventually strip out the plastic gears. If you only plan to use the watch rotator every once in a while you will probably be ok. I only use it on the weekends and I still ran into this problem.

This unit actually looks handsome, is VERY quiet and functions well enough once you figure it out, BUT first time users be warned because there are NO INSTRUCTIONS included whatsoever, so you have to figure out via intuition what plastic parts are removable to position a watch inside it for winding. It would not be difficult for someone to break this unit if they weren't VERY CAREFUL about figuring out the procedure. Another problem is the power cord doesn't work unless you unplug it from the unit and plug it back in. I have to do this EVERY TIME I use it!! Bottom Line: It's the cheapest on the market, it's quiet, it looks okay and it gets the job done, so it's a good value for the occasional wearer of an auto-winding watch, but it's nothing I'd give as a gift!

My very first review as I usually do not feel strongly enough about a product to take time out of my busy life to write. However, this product was unadulterated junk. I purchased this winder for my Rolex, it worked for exactly 47 minutes then stopped and has yet to restart. I am now going to purchase a much more expensive design by Wolf, I guess I should have known better than to put an expensive watch in a cheap winder, buyer beware.
