Stylish Quality at a Reasonable Price,

This review is from: Seiko Men's SRL001 Le Grand Sport Retrograde Day Indicator Watch (Watch)
This is an extremely attractive and high quality timepiece. The photos do not do it justice. It is thinner than most watches at this price point and has some higher end features like a sapphire crystal face and seamless clasp. You can't tell from the pictures but the depth between the crystal face and the watch face itself is very shallow which makes it look like a much more expensive watch. The one thing I would note is that this watch does not have any nightime viewing capability. No luminescent markers. I bought this as a dress watch so that feature was not important to me. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.
Pros:
-Price
-Sapphire Crystal Face
-Thin
-Seamless clasp
Cons:
-No nightime viewing (lacks luminescent markers)

Exceptional Time Piece,

I purchased this watch after seeing it on display in Atlantic City at the Borgata Casino. The price there was almost double what I paid using Amazon! The watch is exceptional from all aspects: looks, feel and quality. The watch is ultra thin, and is very attractive. I have more than ten watches inlcuding all the famous swiss brands that cost 000's. This watch holds its own very well in that crowd. You will be thrilled with this diamond verson.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I was attracted to this watch by its thinness, the price, and the fact that I don't have
a "silver" watch. (I have a gold Wittnauer and a nearly 15-yr-old Hamilton chrono.)
As the pic shows, it is a little "dial happy," and the hour and minute hands can
be a little hard to see in low light--certainly not distinct like with most watches;
they are kind of drowned out by the main dial background (also no luminosity as others
have mentioned). Even though the subdials look kind of cool, they are not quite
so functional, i.e. I think it's actually easier to see a date on a watch with
an actual number for the day of the month in a little window, and what real good
is the 24-hour dial unless you get stuck in a cave or something for an extended
period and don't know a.m. from p.m. Another thing is that the case back is
apparently not a screw off type. I'll see how hard it is to remove when the
battery runs down.... Anyway, it was...Read more
