Hidden behind the Seiko Men's Automatic Stainless Steel Watch's classic analog design are high-tech progressive elements like a day and date function in two languages (English and Spanish) and precise 21-jewel Japanese automatic movement, a feature that means this watch never needs batteries or winding; it is powered automatically by the movement of your arm. Time of day is displayed on a silver-toned analog dial that showcases luminous silver-toned hands and luminous silver-toned baton hour markers. The dial also features a day and date window at the three o'clock position, and is protected by a Hardlex crystal and backed by a stainless steel case. Keeping all of this securely on your wrist is a stainless steel link bracelet that closes with a double-push-button fold-over safety clasp. Other features include a custom crown at the four o'clock position and water-resistance to 99 feet (30 meters).

Had previous experience with Seiko5 and liked them. When I saw this one at 68 dollars, it was a no brainer.

Watch arrives exactly at the estimated date. Looks very pretty in person. Nice combination between brushed and shiny steel. Not too big on my wrist (I'm thin, around 5'11" - had to remove 4 links from the bracelet). Looks understated and elegant, which is what I wanted - no zillion dials/tachymeter/whatever that I wouldn't use 99% of the time.

Movement works smoothly, and I haven't detected any serious deviations in timekeeping so far.

Bracelet feels cheaper than the Seikos I used to own ten years ago, and it does have a faint rattle/tinkle sound that could be irritating. I guess it's because this band has a lot of little links on each pin? Anyway, this is why it doesn't get 5 stars.

One thing that isn't obvious in the pictures: the hands and the hour dots have luminescent paint. Which is a welcome surprise.

The watch is a beautiful one, but when my husband doesn't wear it for a day or two the time is always off and he gets upset. If I would have known that it was going to be like this I would not have ordered it. But it is a nice watch. I guess he will have to sleep with it.

Unfortunately, this watch was not nearly as nice in person as it was in the picture... it was quite dissapointing.
