This impressive, features-packed pilot's watch from Seiko is a sophisticated blend of function and style. The solid steel case and bracelet highlight a round blue dial with luminous hands and markers, a red sweep seconds hand, and a date display at the three o'clock hour. Three chronograph subdials register up to 60 minutes of elapsed time in 1/10 second increments. The dial is capped with a highly scratch-resistant Hardlex crystal and framed by a matching blue bi-directional rotating bezel with a rotary compass and a slide rule for rapid calculations and conversions, including multiplication, division, speed, distance, fuel consumption rate, and fuel conversions. Other notable features of this watch include precise quartz movement and a screw-down locking crown. This Seiko watch is rated water resistant to 100 meters.

    About Seiko
In 1877, at the age of 18, Kintaro Hattori set up business repairing the Western-style clocks that were becoming increasingly popular in Japan. By 1892, Hattori was manufacturing his own clocks in a factory he called Seikosha, from the words "seiko" meaning "exquisite," "success," or "miniature," and "sha" meaning "house." The company grew and prospered, producing its first wristwatch in 1913 and launching the Seiko brand in 1924. Technological innovation has always been a driving force in the company's history. Key milestones include Seiko's introduction of the world's first quartz watch in 1969, and its successful launch, in 1988, of the Kinetic, the world's first battery-free watch with quartz accuracy. Recognized for its technological excellence, Seiko has provided timekeeping services for the Olympic Games and the World Cup Soccer Championships. Today, the Seiko brand continues to stand for state-of-the-art technology, as well as superior quality and refined design.

Beautiful blue dial. Fit and finish on par with some $300+ watches I've owned. The crown screws in - not such a good feature for this watch, since the crown is fairly small. The bottom dial records hours and minutes elapsed. The silver hands can be a bit hard to see in bright light - too many reflections. The lume is very good easy to read thru the night.

Overall, one of my favorite watches, with exceptional quality and good looks.

I lost my much loved MOMO Chrono going through Atlanta/Hartsfield airport security on a recent trip. After that, I needed a new chromo that was both functional and good loooking. I found this watch online and bought it in January '07. The watch exceeds my expectations and is great. It appears much more expensive than it is and it receives compliments. All functions work perfectly. If your after a great chrono and can't bring yourself to part with $2K for a TAG, buy this one.

This is a fine watch. Not only does it look great but it keeps excellent time. You will not be disappointed. BUT, buy it elsewhere as others sell it for $120 or so and ship it for $5.
