With its sleek, urban design, the Photon-C timepiece from Reactor adds style and confidence to a gentleman's wardrobe. Featuring precision analog quartz movement, an easy-to-read display with Superluminova hands and indexes, and a date display nestled between four and five o'clock, this contemporary watch is also water resistant to 660 feet. Three sub-dials track seconds, minutes, and hours, neatly set into the rich copper color of the dial. A contoured stainless steel bracelet securely attaches to the 44.2-millimeter case with textured and exposed Allen head bolts. Wear this stylish timepiece with casual or business attire for an up-to-the-minute look. It is backed by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
Comment: I'm a high-end watch collector and wanted something to wear when on trips when dressed casually. This watch is built like a tank. It's also extremely heavy - almost too heavy. You may be able to increase your bicep size lifting this daily.
The crystal is NOT made of saphire like higher-end watches so it does scratch easily. The quartz movement is NOT Swiss so I'm a little suspect as to how it will hold-up with time. The watch DOES keep time well and, after one month of usage, has not lost more than one second.
While I have not taken this into a pool or the ocean, it does hold its own in the shower. No signs of water leakage. I would not recommend using this in the ocean anyway. You probably want to invest in an Omega Seamaster for heavy ocean usage.
This is a handsome watch and can work with black and brown as both colors are present on the face. The steel band looks amazing and is solid.
I would suggest wearing this on a casual weekend day paired with a casual shirt and jeans. The watch looks funny when paired with a suit or other standard "office attire."
I purchased on an Amazon daily special for $99 USD. I would certainly not pay more for the watch, but this seems worth the $99 paid.

Comment: This is a beautiful substancial watch. My husband loved it and his friends were envious. So apparently they were impressed with it also. The only draw back if you consider it one was the paperwork was not included in the watch case.....But all in all a great watch!!

Comment: This watch has exceeded all my expectations,it as fairly heavy but thats because its built like a tank it is well crafted well machined and very comfortable.I have not worn a watch in a while but cant take this one off,had a concern called company and got a fantastic helping employee who walked me through the whole setting of the watch, and explained how to screw down crown correctly as i figured it was user error lol,got it on deal of the day for 99.00 was the icing on the cake, well worth the full price though,oh yeah i am definenately not an employee of the company but i am a fan now....

Summary: Very solid build, Looks good! 2010-03-02
Comment: Weird stuff going on in the reviews for this watch. A couple reviews that look potentially bogus (i.e., written by or on behalf of Reactor) and then another one from "Valdemar" that seems unduly harsh (if you look at Valdemar's other reviews, you'll see that he doesn't like anything very much -- or at least doesn't review things he does like). Anyway, I tend to rely on reviews so I try to provide reviews as well. I have a lot of watches, none of them crazy expensive but across the price spectrum from Timex/Casio on the low end to Tag Heuer, Baume Mercier and Cartier on the high end and everywhere in between. This is a very nice looking watch (the color of the face might not work for everyone but that's why I picked it in the first place). It also appears to be extremely well made and solid with excellent fit and finish across the board. I can't really think of a good brand comparison because Reactor's aesthetic seems somewhat similar to Invicta or Nautica or Nixon but the apparent quality of this Reactor watch is so far above those brands (at least the examples of those brands that I've seen and own)that it isn't really a good comparison. I use the term "apparent quality" because I've only had this watch a few weeks so I suppose it's possible it will fall apart and/or stop working but it definitely does not feel or look like that is going to happen. Style-wise, this is a large-ish watch but not freakishly so. It's a little bigger across the face, a little thicker and a fair amount heavier (in a good way, as far as I am concerned) than my Tag Heuer chronograph (which they don't make anymore but looks most like this: TAG Heuer Men's Link Automatic Chronograph Day-Date Watch #CJF211A.BA0594 ). The crystal has a nice curve to it and the brushed aluminum finish is very well done on the case and on the nice looking, solid feeling bracelet. Bottom line for me is that I love the look of it and it seems incredibly well made for a watch in this price range. I will buy this brand again. Go ahead and check my other reviews. I have nothing to do with this Company.
Comment: Ordered watch on Amazon Lightening deal for $99.00. Pleased with weight and durability although face is not the most appealing. However, I purchased primarily due to the sale price and it looked like a good watch.
First disappointment was with the bright Swiss Superluminova dials and hands. When it's dark, you won't be able to read the watch (not a very good selling point).
Second disappointment was the fact that the stop watch reset to 2 seconds instead of 0 within 2 weeks of ownership. Watch was worn less than 10 times and not abused so I don't understand why this would happen and concerned with the overall Japanese movement. Rated it a 1 because it didn't hold up. Returned to Amazon.
