This review is from: Pulsar Men's PF8193 Chronograph Camo Green Strap Watch (Watch)
The Pulsar PF8193 is a military-style chronograph watch with an interesting twist: it has a luminous dial. The numbers, markers and hands are non-luminous black, and the big stopwatch second hand is non-luminous red. Other than the numbers, markers, label script and date window, the entire white dial is luminous and glows green in the dark. It is the only chronograph I have seen with a fully luminous dial. If that appeals to you, read on.
The case is 40.3 mm across (42.8 mm including the crown), 10.4 mm thick, and the lug width is 20 mm. Those are the dimensions of a 20th century military chronograph and a little smaller than what is fashionable now. The bezel and the front side of the lugs are brushed; the case sides and back are polished. The crown is not signed, and it does not screw down. The strap is green nylon with contrasting white stitching and it is leather lined.
The movement is Seiko's YM92/7T92, a 12-hour chronograph movement with three...Read more

I received this (along with a few other watches) as an anniversary present from my wife after pointing it out to her a few months prior. I had pointed a similar style Seiko 5 automatic out to her since I was looking for a more casual watch for weekend wear, but decided an automatic might not be ideal for this purpose since it would run down during the week while not in use. The Pulsar chrono seemed a good compromise offering the same general styling, quartz convenience and accuracy, and a chronograph as a bonus, all at a great price. I've had Pulsar chronographs in the past and, along with the Seiko connection, was confident it would be a quality piece.
When I received the watch I was impressed further. The case carries a decent heft without being bulky. The chrono functions work with a clear click when the buttons are pressed. The lume is extremely impressive, lasting through several hours of darkness after normal exposure to daylight.
The only real...Read more

I've had this watch for a week; it has survived two sessions of surf kayaking in saltwater. Overall it seems to be a nice watch. Oh, the band is better described as olive green, not camo; it is nylon fabric, with leather inside (you can see some leather peeking out in the photo)
-UPDATE: Had the watch for over 1 year now, it's still working fine. Another similarly styled watch is the SWATCH COMPLETION; the Pulsar is a larger watch with a good bit of heft, while the Swatch is a bit smaller (and lacks the chrono feature).
