Product Review

Vigorous style and performance for today's man from Pulsar... Tech Gear men's alarm chronograph is masculine and rugged in high performance stainless steel. Outstanding brushed steel case is accented with a lustrous gunmetal finish on the sides and lugs. Case is presented on the high-perfromance black strap. Lustrous black bidirectional rotating bezel frames the black dial with three subdials, luminous hands and silver colored Arabic numeral hour markers. Alarm, small-seconds and 60-minute registers. A window at the 3 o'clock hour reveals the automatic date calendar.

Amazon.com Product Review

Fly the friendly skies or just navigate through a typical turbulent day with the Pulsar PF3349 Tech Gear Flight Computer Watch. It's fitted with a rotary type slide rule bezel and dial ruler for rapid calculation s and conversions of various flight data required by pilots. Calculations include time to fly based on ground speed and distance to fly, speed, fuel consumption rate, fuel quantity required, and more.

This sturdy timepiece has a round silver stainless steel case that measures 1.65 inches and 0.43 inches thick and a gunmetal gray bi-directional bezel. The black dial background also includes three chronograph subdials, including 1/5th second stopwatch with split time measurement and a 12-hour alarm (which can be used to indicate time in a second time zone). Other features include a date function at 3 o'clock, large luminous hands (with red seconds hand), water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet), and a black rubber strap with black stainless steel accents on the bracelet/case connector.

Warranty
Pulsar's three-year warranty (from date of purchase) covers all of the watch--inside and out. All moving parts, the case, crystal, bracelet, and battery are covered.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great features for the price, September 12, 2007

Let me start by saying this watch boasts amazing features for the price. The slide rule bevel (almost a complete E6-B flight computer) is as accurate as the Citizen Skyhawk (both have about one increment error). It is very easy to use and rotates smoothly without a clicking noise. I've found it quite convenient to use the slide rule to multiply, divide, convert, and compute basic time/speed/distance relationships.

I have two issues to gripe about with this watch. Firstly, though functional, the alarm is practically useless. When it goes off, it's nothing more than a faint whine - not enough to grab my attention when there's even minimal background noise (certainly not enough to wake me from sleep!). Secondly, the "luminescent hands" are about as bright as your average rock. That is to say, not very.
