Product Review

Blending classic timepiece design with refined European style, this Omega Constellation men's chronometer automatic watch is comfortably at home in both the boardroom as well as the baccarat table. Mixing both stainless steel and 18 karat gold, this Constellation offers an appealing balance of luxury, durability, and precision, with its certified chronometer automatic movement awarded by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Control). Its brushed silver stainless steel case is topped by an 18 karat gold bezel that features engraved Roman numerals in black and curved claw accents at 3 and 9 o'clock. The silver stainless steel bracelet band flows seamlessly from the case and is slightly tapered. It's accented by thin horizontal bands of 18 karat gold that separate the silver links and stretch fully across the width of the band. It's joined by a secure push-button safety clasp. The silvery white dial background also includes gold-tone Dauphine hands (with seconds hand) and baton dial markers as well as a window at 3 o'clock for the automatic date display. Other features include a scratch-resistant and glare-proofed domed sapphire crystal, a distinctive Cabochon crown, and water resistance to 50 meters (165 feet). The watch case measures 35.3mm (1.35 inches) across and 10mm (0.39 inches) deep.

I am rather opinionated when it comes to luxury watches. This comes from spending 2 years in watchmaking school, studying directly under the guidance of a certified master swiss watchmaker who came here from Europe. Watches, especially mid to high grade swiss watches, are a passion of mine. I am not loyal to a brand or a style or anything else. I judge them for what they are, in terms of quality, function, construction, and style. A watchmakers point of view.

This said I will tell you that this particular watch is what I consider to be a "best kept secret" sort of watch. This is an AUTOMATIC watch (read: Mechanical - NOT Quartz), and of CHRONOMETER grade function. Chronometer as used here is a measure of accurate timekeeping, not quality - a point often misunderstood - and is used mostly from a marketing point of view by companies such as Rolex. HOWEVER. This movement in THIS watch is actually EXCELLENT in terms of quality, time keeping ability, and construction -...Read more

This review is from: Omega Men's 1202.30.00 Constellation Two-Tone Automatic Chronometer Watch (Watch)
One of the most beautiful watches I have, Swiss made, automatic, chronometer and maybe, the most important, versatile (could be wear both at the board meeting or with sport clothing).
The style and the sport line join together perfectly and the result is an ageless timepiece.
What do you could want more?
