Not that impressed,

This review is from: Citizen Men's AT4008-51E Perpetual Chrono A-T Watch (Watch)
Loved the way this looked, but actually using it is just a giant pain. I don't really mind if setting the thing involves a series of mysterious incantations and animal sacrifices, but just flipping over to stopwatch mode is such a laborious undertaking that I'm not sure that Citizen actually wants anyone to use the feature.
The build quality on the one I got was also a little disappointing. The numbers on the little alarm dial were printed off-center, so their bottoms were chopped off and never quite lined up with the hand. My $50 Casio's better than that in the screen registration department.
The glass is pretty nice, but the band is merely okay. It doesn't allow for any fine-grained adjustments--just four removable whole links and four removable half links--so if your wrist is on the small side, you may never get it to fit very well. There are also some sharp edges along the seams between the polished and burnished metal pieces that seem prone to snagging...Read more

Outstanding every-day-wear do-it-all watch!,

This is a review of the watch (Citizen AT Men's Perpetual Chronograph AT4008-51E), not the seller...
I looked for a new watch for over two years before settling on this one. To cut right to the point: I'm thrilled with it. It is an outstanding watch for every-day-wear, from formal to business to casual, and it has lots of functions to suit a variety of needs.
Here's a detailed list of the features that sold me on this watch:
- anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass: an extremely scratch resistant face, which is important if you're active like me
- eco-drive solar powered: no more batteries to change, and fully charged, it can run about 6 months in the dark
- water resistant 200 rating: its approved for wear while swimming and snorkeling, which is important if you're around water often like me
- chronograph/tachymeter: it functions as a stop watch, with tachymeter markings on the bezel for estimating speed, etc.
- traditional second hand:...Read more

Almost the perfect watch...,

This review is from: Citizen Men's AT4008-51E Perpetual Chrono A-T Watch (Watch)
This is a review of the watch, not the seller. Citizen's work well and this has many functions. Perpetual, atomic time, eco-drive. Citizens are well made and this is one of the few with a sapphire crystal, not a mineral crystal (so it won't scratch easily).
I tried but the atomic function wouldn't work or it was permanently a second off. It's got a lot of goodies but is not cheap --- probably why few have sold on Amazon as, say, compared with the 8700 movement watches by Citizen. (They're a bit flashier in general and somewhat cheaper --- but no sapphire crystal).
If you can get an atomic signal easily that helps justify the price and makes it very accurate indeed.
Recommended for those willing to spend.
