A brown, genuine ostrich leather band gives the Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Brown Ostrich Leather Watch its adventurous spirit. White contrast-stitching adds a handsome touch to a band that joins to a round, stainless steel case. A unidirectional, stainless steel bezel displays raised, Arabic numeral minute markers in increments of 10, complementing a silver dial. A mix of luminescent, shape hour indicators and black stick minute markers define the dial, while luminescent, silver-tone hands and an easy-to-read date window at the three o'clock position round out this timepiece. This watch arrives in a yellow Invicta gift box and is water resistant to 165 feet (50 m).

Stylishly classic, internal workings are forged with variations of either Swiss chronograph or 21-jewel automatic movements and willingly navigate in depths up to 300 meters. Built with confident prowess, the fortitude with which these timepieces function makes the Pro Diver the quintessential in performance.
Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

The leather looks like ostrich leather, and the band gives a dressier look than I expected. It has a shiny finish (think shine, but not patent leather shine). The dark brown compliments the silver watch quite well, and it looks great if you want to look a bit extra nice for a meeting, dinner, date, etc. The material is somewhat stiff and takes a lot to break it in (I'm still not as far along as I'd like). One thing I think is worth mentioning is the band width. The band at the top of the watch (on the outer side of the wrist) is wider than the width of the pin, but on the other end of the watch, it is the same width as the pin. It doesn't look like much in the picture, but it's enough to bother me a bit. Not a deal-breaker though. As far as function goes, it works very well. The time is kept accurately. The small magnifying spot on the face is a nice feature. The hands and dots do glow at night, at least for a while. Keeps time accurately and has drawn some favorable comments from people who have seen me wearing it. The ostrich leather band is a formidable piece of work and quite stiff, so it takes a while to break in. My only complaint is that, if I had it to do over again, I would pick a model with a watch face that contrasted better with the color of the hands. Both are silver and thus it is sometimes hard to read the watch at a quick glance in bright light. The luminescent hands do well in the dark, however. All in all a good purchase. |
