Take your diving adventures to the next level with the professional Citizen Promaster 1000 titanium men's automatic watch, which offers water resistance to an astounding 1000 meters (3300 feet). This hefty silver-tone watch measures approximately 1.85 inches wide (without crown) and 0.7 inches deep, and it includes a 6mm scratch-resistant, non-reflective sapphire crystal. It also features a helium gas release, making it suitable for the most demanding, deep-water diving environments. The watch case is made from solid titanium, which is nearly 50 percent lighter than steel, but 30 percent stronger. It's also particularly resistant to salt water corrosion, as well as hypo-allergenic--perfect for those with metal allergies.

The black dial features extra-large, luminous hands (with seconds hand) and dial markers for low-light visibility, as well as a date function at 3 o'clock. It also has a unidirectional rotating elapsed time bezel that can be detached for cleaning. It's completed by a reinforced urethane rubber strap with extender strap included for dry suits and thick wet suits. This watch's automatic self-winding movement winds from the motion of your wrist and requires no battery.

Under the product specification chart it says that this watch movement is Japanese - quartz. That is wrong; the movement is automatic and clearly says on the watchs' face. I have this watch for 5 years now. Still works great. The only downside is that the watch stops working shortly after you take it off your wrist. I have many automatic watches and this one is the one that dies first.

I bought this watch during Amazon's deal of the day. Packaging looks simple and does not befit the price tag. The watch is made in Japan and is automatic. While browsing through the manuals, I was a little confused initially as it states automatic yet there is a manual on how to manage eco dive watch. For a day, I was so silly that I left it by the side of my window to charge it but was surprised to see that it had stopped when I returned from work. It's a self-winding watch and also charges through wearing it as per most automatic watches.

I paid USD 800 for this lovely beast. No regrets although my friends said that they would rather get a tag for this price. But hey, this is in a different league. You people in America are so lucky to have things sold so cheaply. In singapore, this watch costs USD 1500 after all discounts.

I wonder how long the silicon strap can last before it breaks and what is the replacement cost.
