Amazon.com Product Description
Based on the best-selling AMW320 case design, the Casio Men's Atomic Tough Solar Waveceptor Sports Watch #WVA320J-1E is more powerful and more accurate than ever thanks to Casio's Solar Power and Waveceptor Atomic Timekeeping technology. With its classic dive style design (which include features like a rotating bezel, resin band, and an LED display built into its bold, black dial), this handsome timepiece is ready for a day at the office or inspection by the ship's divemaster. The watch's reliable Japanese quartz movement is solar powered--which can accurately keep time up to six months without further exposure to light. And if you're in the US or Japan, the watch receives time calibration radio signals (up to six times per day), so you always know your watch is set to the right time. Other technical features include three daily alarms, an LED light with Afterglow technology, Neo-Brite luminous hands and markers, a stopwatch that records split time, a calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2099), 12- and 24-hour formats, and water resistance to 330 feet (100 meters).

Summary: No suprises - works as advertised 2010-08-26
Comment: I received my watch 3 days ago and so far all is well. It's exactly what I was looking for: an everyday sports watch, solar powered, atomic, water resistant and not overly expensive.
After reading some of the reviewers' negative comments here about the user manual, I downloaded the PDF guide before the watch arrived in anticipation of setup issues. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the booklet that came with the watch. It was simple and accurate. In fact, I used it to set my home city, turn on Daylight Savings Time, turn on the hourly alarm signal, perform a manual sync (I live in Atlanta, GA) and toggle the language from Kanji to English. It worked as advertised.
The red second hand is a bit hard to make out; i.e. it doesn't jump out at you visually; but that's not a deal breaker for me, as I typically reference the hour and minute hands to tell the time. The luminosity of the hands and markers is reasonably clear in low light situations, but not nearly as crisp and bright as more expensive competitors, like Citizen's Skyhawk A-T. However, you can always revert to the LED light to compensate for lack of visibility.
Bottom line: great technology, practical, sporty, reasonable price.
Comment: its great that you neverhave to replace the baattery.BUT-it did not set time automatically AND- it is impossible to set manually.ne final note, the watch is heavier than my hiking shoes!

Summary: Excellent, advanced and good looking watch 2010-08-06
Comment: I was looking for a watch like this for a lot of time. It includes high technology advances in a classic look. That makes this watch very attractive. Analogue and digital features plus 3 alarms, world time, solar battery charging and radio reception for atomic time automatic adjustment. Moreover, it has LED light! (not as brilliant as Illuminators, but just enough to see the time). I only hope that the Atomic time stations around the world increase!

Summary: Great watch 2010-07-06
Comment: After shopping around and waiting for a price drop, I finally got this watch for $119 at Kohl's, using their discount coupons. It is solid, great looking, easy to read and very accurate with the atomic clock sync. I recommend you download the PDF version of the users manual from the Casio web site, the book that comes with the watch is ridiculously small. The only thing I miss from my old Timex Ironman is the count-down timer, but this watch is in a completely different class! I may swap out the plastic band for a Zulu strap, but overall I am very satisfied with the watch.

Summary: WVA320J-1E 2010-07-01
Comment: Nice watch, although the second hand is a bit hard to see. A bigger problem is that suddenly after a few months the second hand lags the digital time by 2 seconds. Time synchronization is working fine, digital time is correct, but the second hand is always 2 seconds slow.
UPDATE: Found out how to fix the second hand issue, and it hasn't come back. Also, having travelled around a bit now, I would say that the coverage from Boulder is sketchy - works just fine here in NM, but even northern Idaho I couldn't get it to synchronize. Uprated to 4 stars from 3.
