Casio Illuminator watch,

This is a great watch. In fact I purchased it to replace one I had bought over 12 years ago. It is lightweight with a very thin profile, water resistant and has both analog and digital readouts. The clean, modern face is easy to read day or night. And the backlighting makes it just as easy to read in complete darkness. As with most Casio's this watch has the full compliment of features, with stopwatch, timer, dual time, and alarm -- all easy to use.
When I misplaced my old watch I just HAD to get an exact replacement..

Just what I wanted.,

The men's Casio-AQ517E was just the watch that I wanted: pleasing clock face, illuminated nicely, day/date calendar, alarm, water resistant to 50 M, and thin enough to wear for work and play. Programming is easy although I don't use the chronograph features. The watch is comfortable to wear with knit and tight cuffs, not a feature of many "sport" watches that I have owned in the past. Would I recommend this watch to others? Without reservation! And for less than $20, it was a great bargain.

This review is from: Casio Men's AQ51-7E Ana-Digi Illuminator Watch (Watch)
This is a good basic watch with the functions I want: analog dial for quick visual check of time of day, calendar, and stopwatch. I use the stopwatch often: to time myself on crosswords, to time a 2-minute rest between sets at the gym, or recently, on a group tour when they would say "back to the bus in 25 minutes."
I used the "illuminator" (backlit) dial to check the time at least once in the night, almost every night. Be aware that the friendly blue glow does not illuminate the digital display! Only the analog hands are visible in the dark, not the calendar or stopwatch digits.
The watch is economical with battery, it went more than a year of use of stopwatch and night-light. Other things will wear out before the battery.
This is a cheap watch and you should not expect a lifetime of service! The "resin" (plastic) band cracked and split after 15 months of use. At that time the plastic face was considerably scratched and scuffed. However, I am ordering...Read more
