Amazon.com Product Description
Outstanding performance and rugged good looks distinguish this masculine-looking watch from Bulova's Marine Star series. The attractive navy blue dial features three-hand function with luminous hands and markers for easy reading in the dark. It also offers a red-tipped sweep second hand and a day/date window at the three o'clock position. The dial is housed in a generous solid steel case and framed by a unidirectional rotating bezel for measuring elapsed time. The bezel has a blue enamel surface with a dive time scale and attractive and coin-edge detailing. The watch presents on a rugged link bracelet of brushed and polished steel fastens with a foldover buckle and safety clasp. Other notable features include precise quartz movement, a screw-down crown, and a scratch-resistant mineral crystal. Water-resistant to 200 meters, this watch is suitable for swimming and recreational scuba diving.
Comment: Elegant, handsome and sturdy, this outstanding, great-value watch -- especially for shallow-diving, snorkeling, and active water sports -- keeps excellent time and feels great to wear everyday, too. One of Bulova's best watches all around. Wholeheartedly recommend it.

Comment: I've own 2 Bulova Watches and love them both. I wear this watch everyday. It keeps great time and is comfortable. My only issue is the bezel - you literally need a spanner wrench to turn it. You really have to dig you finger nail into the slots to turn it. My other Bulova was not like this. I assume this is just an isolate incident. I recommend this watch.

Summary: Might be a good watch, but don't buy it from Amazon! 2009-11-12
Comment: Watch arrived DOA due to two issues. The second hand was loose and the battery was dead. Bulova repaired the second hand, but charged thirty-five dollars for a new battery. I love Amazon, but a new watch shouldn't arrive with a dead battery, and to pay quite a bit for the watch and then to pay extra for battery replacement, and then to pay for fitting, results in a lot more expense than expected.

Comment: I just received the Marine Star 98C62 and it truly is a fantastic looking watch. Much better looking in person than the web site pictures, Perfect weight and it seems to be very well put together. (It was between this one and the Marine Star Chronograph Watch 98H37. I could not justify spending extra bucks for some Gold accents and crono dials I would probley never use) Anyway so after removing 3 links with the link remover tool I purchased with the watch it now fits perfectly. Heavy Duty Watch Band Tool Link Pin Remover for Bracelet Adjustments Watch Sizing Repair Fix with FOUR (4) EXTRA PINS I did notice one thing however. The second hand does not sweep around the dial like the description states, it ticks around like most watches. My first thoughts are that the battery might be very low, as the watch was running when I first opened it up, or the watch description is misstated. Anyway I LOVE this watch and I highly recommend it to anyone out there that wants a great looking watch from a reputable company that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Shipping from Amazon was fast, get one and enjoy, I know I will!
