Clasp has a fold over buckle to be secured. This watch certainly looks like it's made to hold up quite well. Box is nice but nothing special. I honestly expected a box that would look just a bit nicer.
Here are it's shortcomings: - The big second hand does not run in Watch Mode, only in Stop Watch Mode. When I first opened the box I thought the battery was already dead! - Only the 20th second counter hand runs in Watch Mode, but after you have used the Stop Watch Mode it does not automatically re-engage. You have to pull the crown out all the way and push it back in to re-engage it. - There are small adjustments hidden in the clasp. On one side you can make 3 adjustments (by default it's set to the middle one), on the other you can make 2 adjustments; however, the second one will not allow the clasp to close properly anymore.
